The Mint Museum
Unlike the Mint Museum Randolph which occupies the original United States Mint to the east of the city centre, the Mint Museum Uptown is centrally located in the heart of the cultural area of Charlotte and offers visitors fantastic exhibits of American and European art collections as well as a world-renowned craft and design exhibition.
Make an afternoon of culture with The Harvey B. Grant Center for African-American Arts, and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art bot within a one block radius.

NASCAR Hall of Fame

See a game!
As previously mentioned, Charlotte is a city gone mad for its sporting teams. Not only on wheels, with the NASCAR Charlotte Motor Speedway in the nearby city of Concord, but also having 3 major sporting venues all in the heart of the city.
The Bank of America Stadium is a 74,000 seat facility and home to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, located across the road from BB&T Ballpark, the home of the Minor League Baseball team the Charlotte Knights.
Perhaps the most famous of the sporting teams in the city are the Charlotte Hornets, an NBA team that plays at the Spectrum Center. Owned by the infamous Michael Jordan, a North Carolina native, the team has undergone a number of name changes before settling on the original Hornets moniker.

Carowinds

Classed as one of the best drives in the country, if not the world, the road stretches 470 miles along the eastern side of the Nantahala, Pisgah, and Cherokee National Forests in North Carolina before continuing into Virginia.
A spectacular mountain drive, particularly in Autumn, the natural scenery complete with waterfalls is spellbinding!
