Named after the North Star and engineered by industry-leading experts from PriestmanGoode, Acumen, PG and SAFRAN, the design is revolutionary and the only way you will be able to see and experience it is to book a United Polaris business class flight.

Pre Flight Experience

With the launch of five United Polaris business lounges across the US, United Airlines are providing their international and transcontinental passengers with something almost unheard of in the Americas previously.

It starts with Premier Access® offering dedicated check-in counters and security lanes to expedite United business class passengers at the airport. Once airside, the modern, elegant, and award-winning Polaris lounges, named by Skytrax as the best business class lounge in North America is an oasis of thoughtful design and furnishings where travellers can relax, recharge, or engage in a quiet work session until it’s time for takeoff.

Reserved exclusively for Polaris passengers, The United Polaris lounge offers restaurant style dining, a la carte items and an extensive hot and cold buffet, coupled with a full bar offering premium spirits, specially curated wines, craft beers and mixologist-designed cocktails.

Currently available in Chicago, Houston, New York/Newark, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, with the current United Club® lounges at Heathrow, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Washington soon to be refurbished into the sophisticated Polaris product. At all other destinations, United Polaris guests are invited to use the United Club lounges.

Including priority boarding, this is exclusivity by design.

In Flight Experience

United Polaris® Business Class: Boeing 777s, 767s & 787 Dreamliners

With all of the airline’s brand new Boeing 777-300ERs and 787-10 Dreamliners currently providing travellers with the new United business class product, and the retro-fitting well underway on the remaining Boeing 777s, 767s, and 787s (scheduled to be completed by 2021), passengers are now able to enjoy the United Polaris experience on an increasing number of their international routes.

The revolutionary design sees a business class cabin in a staggered 1-2-1 configuration (1-1-1 on the 767-300ER) giving every seat direct aisle access. Reclining into a 6’6″ fully flat bed providing true comfort and space, privacy is paramount with suite-like seat wrappings, electronic dividers and a ‘Do Not Disturb’ option to prevent disruptions. The electric functions of the seat allow it to be adjusted to your desired position at the push of a button, and luxurious touches have been added such as Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, stone-topped side tables, ambient lighting, and expansive storage spaces, along with sleep-themed amenity kits.

Nothing has been overlooked in the United Polaris business class cabin, and dining is no exception. Exclusive dinnerware and stemware designed specifically for the airline set the mood before a menu created in partnership with chefs from The Trotter Project, each dining experience features seasonal and regional specialties based on the route. With an extensive wine list, a wide selection of sweet treats, and United’s signature ice cream sundae to finish, business class passengers can expect restaurant quality dining at 35,000 feet.

United Airlines Polaris Business Class: Prior to Retrofitting & Boeing 757s

The United Polaris business class experience before their retrofits (excluding Boeing 757s) operates in a range of configurations with all international flights providing fully flat beds.

The United Polaris soft product was launched across the entire fleet so passengers travelling on aircraft yet to be retrofitted and the Boeing 757s can still expect all the luxuries of the Polaris experience. With their in flight dining menu, Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, Soho House & Co’s Cowshed Spa amenity kits, and the exceptional service in the airport that Premier Access offers, United’s business class passengers are always ensured of a fantastic flight.
